SL CASINO preserves and maintains the privacy and security of the personal data of all visitors of SL CASINO, as well as all members of SL CASINO Players Club program.
Personal data are considered any information about an individual or data by which the respective individual can be identified.
The controller of the personal data processing required for the participation of the client in SL Casino Players Club program in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation is considered SIA STORM LATVIA (i.e. SIA STORM Latvia (the company registered in Latvia, Reg. No. 40203068277, address: Aspazijas bulvāris 22, Rīga, LV-1050; contact email: email@example.com; phone: +371 6300 0300, appointed data protection officer can be contacted: email: firstname.lastname@example.org) (hereinafter – "SL CASINO").
For the purposes proved below following personal data will be collected and processed by SL CASINO: name, last name, personal code (where applicable), address, date of birth, contact information (email, mobile phone number), language preferences for communication, details of cashdesk transactions and player's credit card transfers and other information client has provided or is required order to satisfy regulatory and statutory requirements.
Purposes of data processing
There are two types of processing – mandatory and voluntary, which precondition for the participation in the SL Casino Players Club.
Mandatory processing required by applicably statutory acts in order:
(1) To register the client in accordance with applicable statutory requirements before the provision of the gambling services;
(2) To monitor and record money transactions made by the client, as well as to provide information about the client to the competent authorities in certain cases in accordance with applicable statutory requirements about prevention of money laundering and terrorist financing;
(3) To include the data about the client in the black list in order to reject the client to access the services of the Controller;
(4) To include the data about the client in the list of self-restricted persons which have asked the Lotteries and Gambling Supervisory Inspection to reject them provision of gambling services.
Voluntary, yet, necessary for participation in the SL Casino Players Club is required to:
(a) register the client as a member in the SL Casino Players Club and provide with the SL Casino Players Club card and use respective services;
(b) propose participation in additional casino campaigns and Jackpots;
(c) send information to the client about the Controller's news, events and special offers;
(d) analyze the gambling services provided to the client, offer client status loyalty card privileges according to the clients gambling turnover in service in accordance with the Controller's "SL Casino Players Club" program to issue bonus points and payback;
(e) ensure higher level service in accordance with the Controller's "SL Casino Players Club" program.
The data are processed in accordance with:
- General Data Protection Regulation 2016/679: Article 6 para 1 Section (a), (b), (c) and (f);
- Latvian Gambling and Lotteries Law: Article 38 Para 5, Article 39;
- Regulations of Latvian Cabinet of Ministers No. 771 "Procedure of Registration of Visitors of Casino and Processing of Information Included in the Casino Visitors Register" (adopted: 19.09.2006.);
- Latvian Money Laundering and Terrorism Financing Prevention Law: Article 11 Para 1 Section 1 and 2, Para 6, Para 7.
Processed data categories, source and methods:
The client's personal data is collected from the client upon registration with the SL Casino Players Club program and is further collected during the participation of the program and using of SL Casino services.
In accordance with Latvian Gambling and Lotteries Law the SL CASINO is obliged to process following personal data categories (Data Set 1): name, last name, personal code (for Latvian residents), date of birth (non Latvian residents), personal ID document (date of issue, No., title of the institution which issued the ID document), date and time of visit of casino.
The SL CASINO will not let into the casino premises and will not provide the service to the person who fails to demonstrate the personal ID and/or objects to identify himself/herself.
In accordance with Latvian Gambling and Lotteries Law the SL CASINO ensures a video surveillance of premises of the casino and provides live video feed to the Latvian Lotteries and Gambling Supervisory Inspection; thus, the SL CASINO processes videos about the activities of the client in the premises of the casino (Data Set 2).
For "SL Casino Players Club" program considering the consent of the client is given – the SL CASINO processes following data categories (Data Set 3): name, last name, personal code (for Latvian residents), date of birth (non Latvian residents), image of the client, personal ID document (date of issue, No., institution issued the ID document), address of residence, scanned copy of the ID document, email, mobile phone number, preferred language for communication, cashdesk transactions of the client, bonus points and payback turnover, complimentary expenses for the client.
In cases when the client violates "SL Casino's internal rules of procedure" or other applicable statutory requirements, the SL CASINO may prohibit the client to use the services of the SL CASINO. In order to ensure that such persons are not allowed to enter the casino SL CASINO maintains the list of wrongdoers (i.e. "Black List") and stores following information (Data Set 4) about the wrongdoers: name, last name, image, personal code or date of birth, data of personal ID document (date of issue, No., title of the institution which issued the ID document, for non-Latvian residents), scan copy of the ID document, cashdesk transactions, date when the wrongdoing occurred, characteristic and video record of the wrongdoing.
The data of Data Set 3 and 4 are received from the client itself or collected about the client during his/her use of the SL CASINO services.
The data about the client might be analyzed with automated means to propose and ensure higher level service to the client in accordance with the SL CASINO's "SL Casino Players Club" program. Considering the outcomes of such analyses the client might receive additional propositions from the SL CASINO's for discounts, benefits and options using the SL CASINO's Controller's services.
The data storage period:
Data Set 1 is stored for 1 month and it is deleted after it is submitted to the Latvian Lotteries and Gambling Supervisory Inspection.
Data Set 2 is stored for 7 days.
Data Set 3 is stored for the period the client uses "SL Casino Players Club" program and 5 years after the client has requested to exclude him from "SL Casino Players Club" program.
Data Set 4 is stored for 10 years after the wrongdoing act has taken place.
Legitimate interest of the SL CASINO:
In cases when the client violates "SL Casino's internal rules of procedure" or other applicable statutory requirements, the SL CASINO is entitled to prohibit the client to use the services of the SL CASINO. In order to ensure that such persons are not let in the casino premises for the protection of safety of other clients and safety of the SL CASINO's employees and property, the SL CASINO includes such persons in list of wrongdoers (i.e. "Black List").
Recipients of data:
The personal data will be provided to the Latvian supervisory authorities (e.g., Lotteries and Gambling Supervisory Inspection, State Revenue Service) and law enforcement institutions upon respective identified and legitimate request. For provision of money transactions necessary data also provided to banks.
[optional 2] For the purpose stated above the personal data might be made available to the entities contracted by SL CASINO for provision of additional services that might be necessary in order to fulfil the services available and proposed by "SL Casino Players Club" program and requested by the client (e.g. marketing, gambling, hosting, and clients relationships).
Rights of the data subject:
The client is entitled to withdraw his/her consent to the processing of Data Set 3 at any time. However, subsequently the participation of the client in SL Casino Player Club program would have to be terminated, as the provision of the services within SL Casino Player Club program cannot be provided without processing of respective personal data.
The withdrawal of consent does not affect the legality of the processing, which is based on the consent given before the withdrawal, and also does not affect the processing which is carried out upon other legal ground (e.g., legal obligations of the SL CASINO or legitimate interests of the SL CASINO, Data Set 1, Data Set 2 and Data Set 4).
The client is entitled to request the access to personal data, rectify or erase his/her personal data, restriction the processing of data concerning the client or to object processing, as well as to receive personal data, which he or she has provided to a controller, in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format and have the right to transmit those data to another controller.
The client is entitled to file a complaint with the local supervisory authority (Data State Inspection).
Security of processing of personal data
SL CASINO applies all appropriate and reasonable technical and physical safeguards in order to protect the personal data against accidental or unlawful destruction or loss, modifications, unauthorized use, disclosure or access, and any other unlawful forms of processing. The applied security measures are regularly revised in order to ensure that they are up-to-date with the challenges posed by the environment SL CASINO is operating in.
